Dear Ron,
I'm writing you from Bozeman, Montana where today we saw three of your
pieces at the Montana Trails Gallery. My wife and I admire your work
and are interested to learn more about other pieces you may have available.
We particularly like the plein aire landscapes you do and the style of
brush stroke that you use. The texture you employ gives the impression
of movement and brings each painting to life. We've never seen anything
quite like this. As park rangers in Yellowstone, we particulalry enjoy
the way you interpret the natural world through your art.
If you could direct us to other galleries that carry your work, or,
better yet, if you have pictures and pricing of what you have available
that you could send in an email, we'd certainly appreciate it.
One painting we saw today appears to be that of a California mission.
I believe the title was "The Beckening Light". Can you share
what mission this is?
Again, thanks for sharing the obvious love and passion you bring to
your work. This passion shines through in all that we've seen.
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.
Best regards,
Roger Anderson

Hi
Ron,
Thank you. I liked your work very much, too.
I made sure that you had the work to back up your statement before I
sent my email to you! I find a kindred spirit in the tactile quality
of your paintings. Good enough to eat!
I sometimes mess around with the
paint so long on some of my paintings, it would give a conservator a
heart attack. I just finally finished a work I was painting on for 10
years. Several "saleable" paintings
underneath. There is too much painting out there to let go from anyone's
studio anything but the "well-considered" best. Efficiency
be damned. That is an invention of the 19th century industrialists
to maximize profit and minimize thinking of their workers.
Sorry,
I just had to go on.
Keep up the great work, yourself!
